starts in 1908 with a Government order of December 23, 1908, which
established in Grand Bassam the first consular institution : The
Chamber of Commerce of Ivory Coast. The law 60-340 of October
28, 1960 was followed by the May 17, 1963 decree bearing on the
organization of Chambers of Industry, and decree n°6421 bearing
on the organization of Chambers of Agriculture, thus gave birth
to a Chamber of Industry and a Chamber of Agriculture. In view of the strong synergy between industry and commerce, the government decided by decree n°92-19 of January 8, 1992, to group the Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Industry in a single Chamber under the supervision of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Ivory Coast thus engaged its new strength to serve the economic interests of the country's development. THE
