HISTORY

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Mali is governed by law n° 98 of January 19, 1998 which establishes it as a publicly-owned establishment for professional matters, with legal entity status and financial autonomy.

The Chamber existed in Mali since 1906, in the form of a consular organization. The law of January 19, 1998 confers three main missions to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry:

- Representation Mission : representation of the various branches of  commercial, industrial and services activities.

- Proposal Mission : proposal of measures in support of economic development in general and of the private sector in particular.

- Operational Mission : assistance in information on economic, training, creation and/or equipment management matters.
